FLORENCE, Ala. - No other family in the history of college football has achieved the level of success that the family of Bowden coaches has. Between the four coaches — Bobby, Tommy, Terry and Jeff — they have a total 131 years of collegiate coaching experience. Three have been head coaches in Division IA College Football, with Bobby, Tommy and Terry having a combined record of 583 career wins and an astonishing winning percentage of 72. Even more impressive is that in their 70 collective seasons as head coaches, the Bowden coaches have suffered only six losing seasons. As elusive as the "Perfect Season" is, all three have had a perfect season as Division IA head coaches, and all in the same decade (Terry -1993, Tommy - 1998 and Bobby - 1999). It had never happened before, and it would be safe to say that it will never happen again. Join the Bowdens on July 14 for another first - the first time all four Bowden Coaches will come together to speak at the same event and share their lifetime of stories. Hear from the "First Family of College Football" about what it takes to be a champion and have that perfect season - whether on the field, in the boardroom or in life. Coaches Bobby, Tommy, Terry and Jeff Bowden will all talk about their championships and their losses and the valuable life lessons they have learned from both. On Jan. 1, Terry Bowden returned to the coaching ranks from the broadcast booth to become the new head football coach at the University of North Alabama. Shortly thereafter, his brother Jeff joined him in Florence as his wide receivers and associate head coach. Now, the entire family of Bowden coaches will be in Florence to show their support for UNA. All proceeds from "A Day with the Bowdens" will go to the UNA football program and UNA athletics.
